Unfortunately, one of the greatest auto-generated terrains in the game does not appear to be getting much attention from Mojang anytime soon, leading to the release of "Better Mineshafts," a vision of what these abandoned Mineshafts could've become.

If you're a long-time miner who likes creeping around deep dark subterranean dungeons in search of undiscovered prizes, Better Mineshafts is a Mod you should absolutely consider. Furthermore, The Mod will refresh the Mineshafts experience; players will no longer have to gaze at the same old, dull Shaft for an extended period of time.

This patch totally transforms vanilla abandoned mineshafts into dynamic, different webs of tunnels, transforming them from boring straight lines into dynamic, varied webs of tunnels.

Loot can be found in the corners of abandoned workstations or out in the open in a minecart chest.

There are 9 biome varieties to choose from, including a unique mushroom mineshaft!

Some tunnels have ore deposits containing coal, iron, Redstone, gold, lapis, emerald, and (very rarely) diamond!
