The Minecraft Equipment Compare Mod adds new functionality that allows players to compare equipped armor and tools with those in their inventory. Although distinguishing between an Iron and a Diamond tool is straightforward, the challenge arises when players have two identical components of the tool with differing enchantments.

Deciding what to bring onto the battlefield is difficult because players must sort through at least 6 to 7 unique pieces of equipment; however, with the integration of a system similar to that of traditional MMORPGs, players can compare the tools and weapons in their inventories to the ones they are currently equipping. Such a feature would allow players to quickly swap between weapons and tools during a conflict, allowing them to better use different traits because they can see what is going on.
- Equipment Compare is a client-side mod that allows you to easily compare equipment at a glance. Extremely handy in a customized world with a large number of unique objects to compare!
- This patch differs from other tooltips' "comparison" modifications in that it just displays a tooltip for what you're already wearing next to the tooltip for what you're hovering over. This method provides considerably broader compatibility for new metrics and features supplied by other modifications.
