Minecraft Spear vs Sword: Which Is Better and Why?

 In Minecraft, two melee weapons are the spear and the sword. Two units of any earth mineral and one stick can be used to craft a sword, but one unit of earth mineral and two sticks can be used to craft a spear. The spear's jab attack is still slower than the sword swing, even though the stats indicate that it attacks much more quickly. The standard swing attacks of the sword are more effective than the standard jab attacks of the spear when tested on mobs.

Using a spear correctly and dealing the most damage requires players to learn and apply certain enchantments and techniques. To get the most out of the spear, for instance, they must use it when moving quickly, such as when riding a swift horse or flying with an elytra. The charge attack, which deals far more damage than a sword, can only be used after that.

Additionally, since the new lunge enchantment enables players to use hunger points to sprint forward during a jab attack, it can also make a spear more distinctive than a sword.

But the sword is still the more powerful and adaptable weapon. It is therefore still a more effective weapon than the spear.
